The month of June is a great time for Highlands and Islands businesses and social enterprises to get their online skills up to speed with free training sessions available on everything from creating a website to managing an online reputation.
Community groups or tourism related businesses in Scotland who want to make the most of online opportunities can join over 600 participants already registered for a series of webinars starting tomorrow (Tuesday June 10).
Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE), with Tourism Intelligence Scotland, Scottish Enterprise, Visit Scotland and The Scottish Tourism Alliance are running the online sessions, covering popular topics like website design, digital marketing, managing your online reputation and future trends of the digital tourist.
Business and digital experts will lead the sessions, which are being held over the next two weeks, lasting just over an hour per topic, providing businesses with practical advice on their online presence.
For those who like their digital advice offline, sessions for businesses and social enterprises across any sector, are being held throughout June in Brora, Lairg, Orkney, Fort William, Lochgilphead, Bute, Skye, Shetland and Uist. Topics for the half day sessions include social media planning, and creating or developing your website. These events are being funded by HIE and the European Regional Development Fund, and run in partnership with Business Gateway.
